ASEP2010

That was the second time to join the ASEP. Actually, I took part in WYM and ASEP last year, so I wanted to take part in both of them this year. However, I could not join the WYM this year because of Study Abroad. That is why I wanted to do my best in ASEP of WYM. In this time, I wanted to do two things. First, I wanted to check my English skill. I took part in ASEP last year as well, so I thought I could compare my English skill to how I was. Last time, it was a little bit hard for me to communicate with others in English. I could not understand their English and say what I wanted to. However, I think I could overcome it. Next, I wanted to take a large global view. I could see a ton of new things and broaden my perspective because of that.

I think it is significance for us to take part in ASEP. ASEP is a great event which we can learn how to communicate with others in English, how to negotiate to make our presentation, and global view. Hopefully I want to keep participating and grow up as a place to move myself higher. Lastly, I appreciate teachers’ kindness despite sudden offer to join, and my team member. Thank you!

今回は２度目のASEPの参加でした。僕は去年にWYM,ASEPと参加させていただいていて、今年も両方参加したかったのですが、留学のためできませんでした。留学で参加できなかった分も、ASEPで出し切りたいと思い、このASEPに挑みました。参加するにあたって、二つ、出来るようになりたいことがありました。一つ目は自分の英語のレベルをチェックすることでした。僕は去年もASEPに参加したので、前回の自分と比べられると思いました。前回は、英語でコミュニケーションをとることすら少し難しかったのですが、今回は彼らの話すことをちゃんと理解でき、一つ、乗り越えられたかなと思います。二つ目に、国際的な視野を養うことでした。日本では当たり前なことが、アメリカでは違ったりして、留学して価値観がすごく変わりました。台湾でも、そのように価値観を変えられればなと思っていました。今回台湾に行った際に、去年とは違った新しい物もたくさん見れたので、すごくいい経験になり、また少し視野も広がったと思います。

ASEPに参加することはすごく意義のあることだと思います。英語でコミュニケーションを取る力、自分たちはこういう風にプレゼンを作りたいと説明する交渉力、そして国際的な視野、たくさんのものを身につけられるすばらしいイベントだと思います。できることならこれからも参加させていただき、自分を高める場として、成長していきたいです。最後に、急なお願いにもかかわらず参加させていただいた先生方、一緒にやらせていただいたチームのメンバー、本当にありがとうございました。
