Breaking through the wall between a high school and a college, we could make a good relationship with Sansin High School students. We really appreciate the kindness and the hospitality of both students and teachers of Sansin High School. It was really enjoyable stay in Kaohsiung.

~What we aimed in ASEP~

When we were told that we were going to give a presentation with high school students, we thought it is going to be hard for us. But the fact was completely opposite of what we thought. They research well, they work hard, and we could see their passion from what they made so far. Since we both were eager to make a good presentation, we could work very smoothly.

The presentation in ASEP was not just a presentation. It was a special one for us because we had to make it in English, which we are studying now. It means it is much harder than making a presentation in mother tongue.

We listed some points that we cared in making presentation.

1. Use English which is easy to understand.

2. Use the visual effects effectively.

3. Attract the audience and speech but just talk.

In the case of No.1, the audiences were also studying English as a foreign language, so we picked only easy words. In the case of No.2, we put many animations and pictures on the presentation to make it easier for them to understand what we want to say. In the case of No.3, this was the most difficult point for us. We tended to just read sentences. We paid attention to how to speak and always look up. On the stage, we all were nervous but we could do what we aimed to. At this point, it can be said that we succeeded in our presentation.

English is not our mother tongue, so the pronunciation is the most difficult thing for us. When we give a presentation in English, we have to develop our own English ability and need to persuade audiences. It is not just talk. We have to explain the audiences what we want to tell them and what we want them to understand.

In the future, I will have a lot of opportunities to give presentations in English. I want to aim to make a presentation which appeals to the audiences.
